I’m Sure this list has annoyed a few people but I don’t care these are my games of the last 10 years so :P to you.

I also sure I’ve missed a few but at the end of the day if I’ve forgot about them there not important.

I’ve also noticed that my top 10 of the decade are almost all RPG’s

Well Happy new year to everyone :D

Also note to self buy a damn camera in the new year!

Challenge

now I’m setting myself the challenge to play every single one of those games from start to finish over the course of 2010. Starting with 1999 and working my way up to 2009 should be fun :D

Final Fantasy: Dissidia

Posted on Saturday, December 20, 2008 in Final Fantasy, Game, PSP

simply stunning

and its a total shame it was wasted on the PSP

its nice to see that Square Enix still has what it takes to make some absolutly stunning games.

Ok for what i’ve played so far the gameplay is very simple, you have emm i suppose they are levels… and these levels are made up of little circles that you move your character along and the goal is to get to the exit.

but along the way you will have many Kingdom hearts style battles (and they really are the battle win slow down and everything) and after a few levels you will fight a boss (garland is the first)

but its not just the gameplay its everything that makes this game so special there so much detail. ok the menus are a bit confusing but that more than likely because there all in japanese.

well there the full opening of the game and you may notice theres an install data option!! which surprised me it really did another plus point for Sqaure Enix but I did notice there was 3 option 250MB, 350MB and 550mb which is also very nice becasue anything that cuts down on disc access is a must on the psp.

and along with that the music is pretty damn good as well along with the voice acting.

well to sum it up the second the US or PAL version can be preordered i’ll be getting mine :D

and OMG too many blog entries!!

I give up

Posted on Thursday, March 20, 2008 in Games Development, PSP

ok 3d Maths is a total and utter bitch i’ve made zero progress today.

I always knew this bit of maths would either make or break my program but once I understood it everything else would be easy I would be able to add loads of advanced features.

so the plan has changed i’m going to work on all the other features of the game and just have the line intersection working in 2D and attack the 3D line intersection when i get back to uni.

but for now I give up i’m now going to go relax for a bit and either finish off Hogs of war to start playing the classic Overboard

This is one of those classic games that not many people played but then again anyone who ever bothered to play the games on the Demo 1 CD you would of played it.

i’m just making the menu up at the minute for it (no one done any!) just need to add the music and its done then i’ll play it. (500MB! i really need a new memory stick)

plodding on

Posted on Saturday, March 15, 2008 in PSP, uni

ok looks like I can wack this site out in an afternoon so i’ll do that tomorrow so thats no biggie.

ok so for today i’m going to go up merry hell with charlotte, which will be nice haven’t seen her in ever so long then go to work and I might go play some patapon when I get back.

Patapon is one of those games that isn’t very good for many reason but then again is strangely addictive but it one of those thing you can’t play while tired its make it near impossible to keep to the beat.

then after that get on with the uni work it needs to be done by thursday!

more old school fun

Posted on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in PSP, PSX

the list just keeps growing, well it doesn’t but i’m getting round to ebooting them :-P well anyway heres 3 more for the list.

Cannon Fodder

now anyone lucky enough to play this game will understand how great it was this is a game for the ages its a shame cannon fodder 3 has been cancelled so many time :( yea I know it was 3D and it won’t be as good as the first two but it cannon fodder dammit “war has never been so much fun”

Granstream Saga

next on the list is an RPG that i enjoyed ever so much but never got the chance to own it (I rented it about 4 times lol) but with the help of a little internet magic i’ve got myself a copy (if anyone has a copy please let me know i’ll buy it)

Yes i know the graphics are poor but it was still fun

and lets no forget these wonderful anime cut scenes the best part was it was an RPG with voice overs OMFG ! thats a new one (at the time it was)

Threads of Fate

Now not many people were lucky enough to play this wonderful game by sqauresoft mainly because it was never released over here but I managed to get a copy (for £45!! still got the receipt) from replay games I love that shop. well lets say it was worth the money just because it was a fun game to play (what more do u really want) and challenging to if you wanted it to be.

Grahpics where good for the PSX but i love those weapons you had a choice of a big round axe that folds out or two hula hoops both were very fun to use.

The Legend of Dragoon

What can I say about this game apart from its one of the best RPG’s ever made ever in history and it was made by sony so it was a first party game!!, which no one has heard of.

Now the pal version of this game is very very rare

look at that evil evil moon I so can’t wait to play this again.

well let me run this past you the Guide for this game cost between £57 – £148 on amazon and the game is between £35 and £70, which is a good price considering just over a year ago it was hard to find the pal version for under £120!

Time for work

Posted on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Homebrew, PSP, PSX, robocode, uni

ok one more thing to do before the Easter holidays and a well earned rest. MY last assignment it robocode which should take more than 2 days to complete including documentation (i’m only starting now and I have work in a few hours so maybe i’ll be doing it thursday but hey)

MY secret Addiction

well how that its the last one and time is short there no time for playing the PSP or FF8 but I must admit i was lazy last night and from about 8-11 i played FF8 and nothing else. well so be more percice I played Triple Triad for 3 hours :D i don’t care I love that game. and if i could be arsed I would do this

TT cards

or i could find a pack off Ebay or something… well either way its a great game and i’ll addicted again. (well not as bad as at school We actually made these and played it when it was raining at lunch kinda sad lol)

ok well that enough fun for now back to making robots kill each other MUHAHAHA

ok it looks like i’m making the cards… on ebay they are £3.50 for a rare card and about 45p for a crap one… well i suppose I could start collecting them it might take about 20 years to get them all though…

Starting to wish

Posted on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Homebrew, PSP

I’m starting to wish that sony never made the psx emu for the psp because i’ve found myself more than once today scanning a list of playstation eboots download links and going oh yea i’ll play that one and omg I love that game i’ll have that, Oh i’ve always wanted to play that and so on and so on.

but those game can wait i want to play my games first and the list is too long to even mention but it would take until the time next year to finish them all and i;m not kidding i’ve got piles of PSX disc everywhere i’ve been ripping over the last few days but all that can wait i have to program this damn gui first and then my robot then i can play games all easter (looks like Lost Odyssey has slipped under my radar… for now)

oh i was just playing Alien Trilogy and lol i died on the first level that things too hard to control its gonna take some getting use to that u can’t look up and down…

When you just can't wait anymore

Posted on Sunday, March 9, 2008 in PSP

ok finally got FF7 to work it was a fault with the firmware reinstalling 3.80m33-5 fixed the problem… so i now have ff7 working at full speed (125% at some parts) next on the chopping block is Legend of Dragoon then FF8… i’m going to need a bigger memory stick but if i wait just a bit long the 8GB sticks will drop due to the fact the 16GB comes out in march (wait now!)

other games i have got include hogs of war, i love this game

For those who don’t know hogs of war was what worms 3D was not and thats amazing ok worms is more fun for a quick play but Hogs is better for all out war. unfortunately my version i have ripped onto my psp doesn’t allow you to save?? strange but the NTSC version does so i’m compressed that version and put on there but for some reason theres no background music in the menus, which sucks but hey its hogs it’ll do.
